This month, our CEO, Christy Belt Grossman, had the honor of being a panelist (along with Eric Forney, Sheena Saydam & David Hoffman) at the Messy Middle Mastermind Charity Fundraiser for Fight DMD.com. This incredible event was held at the House of Blues in New Orleans, where the team (Sheena, Jon Pugh, Susan Glenz & Anita Cruz) raised more than $11K for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
True to its name – Messy Middle -– the panelists candidly shared about mistakes they had made in their businesses and the learning that resulted. In the spirit of sharing, we’ve posted Christy’s clips and tips below in the hopes you learn from her mistakes!
Christy shares her “fail forwards” and advice on a variety of topics including:
- Ops Bosses as co-casters of vision
- Great books to read
- Teaching people how to think rather than how to do
- Following the models
Cheers to Bosses who learn from others’ mistakes!
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a fatal disease that strikes 1 in 3,500 boys born each year, with no ethnic or geographical boundaries. The founder of FightDMD, Terry Marlin, is a father with not one but TWO young sons with DMD. Listen to his compelling story here.
We’d be grateful if you’d donate.
