In 2012, I was on a panel at Keller Williams Family Reunion. I was Chief Operating Officer of The Belt Team at the time, and my fellow panelists (Hallie Warner & Linzee Ciprani) were Executive Assistants (EAs). All three of us were affiliated with top-ranked teams nationally.
Before the panel started, we had a conversation that would become a game changer. Each one of us saw the potential of the “EA” role and the HUGE gap in education, training, and the overall conversation level about the EA role and its leadership potential. All three of us had experienced other assistants seeking us out for mentorship, and their frustration with the gap sometimes brought them to the point of tears.
That day we each resolved to make a difference, and five years later, we had.
Recently, the three of us got together in the same room (virtually, via Zoom) for only the second time since 2012 to talk about our journeys. (You’ll be able to hear what we had to say in the video that I’ve included in this blog.)
You’ve probably heard the saying: “You can be anywhere you want to be in 5 years.”
The video tackles questions about what that means, what it can look like, and how you can make it happen. Our conversation provides some answers and gives you a quick update on what each of us is doing now:
- Hallie Warner is now Chief of Staff to Adam Hergenrother (Adam has 5 different companies, along with his local real estate team and many expansion teams.) Hallie has a really cool and instrumental role at Adam Hergenrother Companies. In fact, she and Adam just wrote a book together: The Founder & The Force Multiplier. You need to buy it…like, yesterday. I read it last week. It’s totally down-to-earth and full of real talk and applicable action steps. Rainmakers and Ops Bosses…read it! You’ll thank me. Hallie has this role totally dialed in.
- Linzee Ciprani now owns two businesses: a top-producing real estate team (Round Table Real Estate Services, and one of (if not) THE top recruiting companies in real estate (Ciprani Consulting) – hiring all positions real estate, most especially admins. I used them twice last year and can’t speak more highly of her whole team.
- I am now the owner of Ops Boss Coaching™. We coach, teach and train Ops Bosses. To date, nearly 2,000 people have been through our BE A BOSS class. We have everything from an online training center and group coaching for newer admins…to Elite one-on-one coaching and an annual Ops Boss™ Leader Retreat.
