Midyear Reset: Refocus. Realign. Accelerate.
“Why are we talking about a midyear reset in April?”
Because a great Director of Operations isn’t reacting—they’re anticipating.
You don’t wait until June to realize you’re off track and scramble to get a retreat together.
You plan ahead, create the space, and lead the reset before it’s urgent.
Midyear is your moment to refocus, realign, and accelerate. Not later. Now—while there’s still time to win.
But here’s the truth most leaders miss: You can’t build a strong second half on a burned-out, disconnected team.
So instead of just doing more—you do this smarter.
The 4-Step Process
Step 1: Vision Your Future (Reignite)
Step 2: Agent 1:1’s (Refocus)
Step 3: Operations 1:1’s (Sharpen)
Step 4: Leadership Alignment + Action (Realign and Accelerate)
Step 1: Vision Your Future Workshop — Reignite the Fire
Before you talk strategy, reconnect your people to why it matters.
And this isn’t just for agents.
Your operations team, your admin, your leadership—they are not just here to support someone else’s vision.
They have their own goals, their own growth, and their own version of winning this year.
If they’re disconnected, unclear, or burned out—your business feels it everywhere.
The Reality Right Now
The past two years have created a divide:
- People struggling to gain traction
- People producing—but exhausted
There’s very little in between. And across the board, people are feeling: stress, burnout, disconnection.
You don’t fix that with another meeting.
This is where the Vision Your Future Workshop comes in
Skip the big offsite. Bring your entire team into our virtual room together.
- We do the heavy lifting
- We reconnect head and heart
- We help each person design their ideal future – (not just their role… their life)
So when goals are set, they actually mean something—and people follow through.
What This Creates
- Clarity on what each person actually wants
- Reconnection to their WHY
- Alignment between personal vision and business goals
- Energy and ownership going into the second half of the year
Because people don’t struggle from lack of information.
They struggle from lack of connection. Of head and HEART.
Who It’s For
- Agents, recruits, team members, leadership, admin, vendors
- High performers who want more than just production
- Anyone feeling burned out or stuck
- Anyone who set goals—and didn’t hit them
- Anyone who hit their goals and still feels unfulfilled
(Yes—even clients and family can join.)
Want in?
We’re tentatively planning a virtual Vision Your Future workshop in June.
If you want your team aligned—not just operationally, but personally— get on the waitlist now.
This is how you create buy-in, energy, and clarity—without planning a full retreat.
Step 2: Agent 1:1s — Performance + Recommitment (Refocus)
Now that they’re reconnected—you get strategic.
This conversation is about one thing:
Are we on track—and if not, what changes now?
Ask:
1. Are you on track to hit your goal?
- If yes → what’s working? Can you do more of it? (Accelerate.)
- If no → has your goal changed?
2. If your goal hasn’t changed, are you willing to change your activities?
- Increase frequency of current lead gen?
- Add new lead gen activities?
- Or both?
(Move them from hoping → committing.)
3. How do you win by December 31?
- What does winning look like—numbers, lifestyle, consistency?
- What habits support that?
- How will you feel when you hit it?
4. What support do you need?
- Consistency
- Accountability
- Skill development
- Tracking / numbers
Push for clarity: “What are you committing to? What am I committing to?”
Then You Lead the Reset
- Narrow the focus: Top 1–2 commitments for 90 days
- Define activity: Weekly, specific, measurable
- Lock it in: Owned and tracked
Step 3: Operations 1:1s — Clarity + Capacity (Sharpen)
Now you lead your ops team the same way you lead agents—as owners of their own outcomes, not just supporters of others.
Ask:
1. Are you clear on what success looks like in the 20% that matters most?
- What are your KPIs?
- Did you hit them in the first half?
- If not, what changes now for the second half?
2. How do you win by December 31?
- What does success look like for you in this role?
- Where do you want to grow or step up?
3. Where do you need support?
- Capacity / overload
- Training
- Coaching
- Tools, systems, AI
4. Do you have unused capacity?
- Where can you contribute to team growth?
(Reviews, referrals, systems, marketing, events, agent support)
5. Where are we overcomplicating or breaking down?
- What’s inefficient?
- Where are agents (or team members) frustrated?
Fix it—fast. YOU own your systems.
Then Align
- Top 1–2 priorities
- Clear success metrics
- Increased ownership
You’re not maintaining ops—you’re developing Ops Bosses®.
Step 4: Leadership Meeting — Patterns → Decisions → Action (Execute)
This is where everything comes together.
Identify Patterns
- Where are people consistently stuck?
- Where is the business feeling friction?
- What themes keep repeating?
Separate
- Systemic → training, process, structure
- Individual → accountability, coaching
Decide
1. Top priorities for the second half
2. Where training/support is required
3. What gets simplified, fixed, or eliminated
4. What must happen to win by December 31
This is the standard.
Then assign ownership—and execute.
The Thread That Ties It All Together
How do we win by December 31?
- Each person defines what winning looks like for them
- The workshop reconnects them to why it matters
- The business aligns around those goals
- Leadership ensures it happens
No fluff. No wasted time. Just clarity, ownership, and execution.
Bottom Line
You don’t need a big, complicated retreat. You need the right Mid-Year sequence:
- Reignite your people
- Refocus their actions
- Sharpen your operations
- Lead with clarity
Do this well—and the second half of your year?
That’s where you separate from everyone else. And THAT is bossy!
